The Benefit of Using Blog as Media to Developing Students Writing Skill.

In this era, digital world is common in society. There are so many people used media social as their part of life. According to Dr.Augustine Fou from people’s social media is an activity of conversations and action online that can be mined by advertisers for insight but not coerced to pass along marketing messages it’s the new form of media that does not exist until it happens and that cannot be thought by advertisers to carry their messages. Social media usually used to share the information and their messages. Social media usually used to share the information and their activity now days. From social media, it also can help learners to improving their skills in learning process.

Social media has many kinds of serves based on people needed. There are social networks, bookmarking sites, social news, media sharing, micro blogging, blog comment and forum. In four skills of language, social media very useful to improving writing skills for learners. It can make the creativity of learners to write better. Blog comment and forum is a social media that suit to improve writing skills students because Blog comment and forum allow members to hold conversation by posting messages. Blog comments are similar expect they are attached to blogs and usually the discussion contents around the topic of the blog post.

Blog is very useful in writing skill to make learners more active and creative. Blog is a frequently updated online personal journal or diary. It is a place to express yourself in the world. Visitors of your blog is not only from our region, but also around the world who can access internet. Blog is a place to share learner thought and their passions. Blog is learner own website that they are going to update on going basis. In the blog, the learner can write more than 1000 words include any file like picture or video to make their blog more interesting. The learner can make a competition to get more visitors by their blog and their post.

For beginner, make a blog is easy. They just need to sign in the site, the most popular site for blog ie : blogger.com and wordpress.com . if the learners already sign in the site, they just need to complete the next procedure like sign their form and profile. After follow all the step the learners can start their first post on the blog. In the blog, they also can adjust the template of the blog with their picture, or change the menu the, their blog became more beautiful and interesting to visit.

Learners can writing a blog about something meaningful and they’re interested will inspire them to write more and write better. By reading blog also can give them experience in  understanding topics that already written about by others. Rating system that already offer in blog also can make learners set their rating system and it will encourage them to be more competitive and work harder to create a better piece of work. Reading someone’s blog also can tell them about sharing ideas and get know each other. As a teacher, we can give the learners a specific topic, so they can write a blog post about means they’ll have to learn about that topic, researching and reading the topic first. Based on these advantages of blog, this paper will discuss  about the benefit of using blog as media to developing students writing skills.
